Balls system

Basic combinations and their points:

Pong (triplet) - 2 points
This is a combination of three identical tiles (for example, three tiles with the bamboo symbol, number 5).
Chow (sequence) - 1 point
This is a sequence of three tiles of the same suit, arranged in order (for example, tiles 4, 5, 6 from the circles).
Kong (four of a kind) - 4 points
This is a combination of four identical tiles. Each four increases the number of points, as it has a higher value.
Pair - 1 point
A pair consists of two identical tiles (for example, two tiles with the number 8).

Bonus points:

Mahjong (winning hand) - 20 points
In order to win, the player must collect a winning combination and announce “Mahjong”. This gives bonus points for winning.
Closed Mahjong - 10 points
If a player has collected their winning combination on their own (without using other players’ discarded tiles), they are awarded a bonus of 10 points.
Big Mahjong (full set) - 30 points
If a player has collected a combination consisting only of tiles of the same suit (for example, all tiles of the bamboo suit), they are awarded a bonus for Big Mahjong.
Tournament bonus - 10 points
If the game is played as part of a tournament or special competition, the winner receives an additional 10 points.

Penalties:

Penalty for an incorrect combination - minus 5 points
If a player makes a mistake and declares a mahjong or makes an incorrect combination, they receive a penalty.
Penalty for missing a move - minus 1 point
If a player misses a move due to their own fault (for example, they did not choose a tile or did not react in time), they are awarded a penalty.

Additional bonuses:

Long sequence bonus - 5 points
If the player has collected a sequence of more than 4 tiles (for example, 4, 5, 6, 7 bamboo), he is awarded an additional bonus of 5 points.
Rare tile bonus - 3 points
For using rare tiles (for example, eastern and western), the player can receive an additional number of points.
